Welcos Jeju Volcanic Island Camellia flower moisturizing mask

It’s been a while since I’ve posted a review! For the past month I’ve been adjusting to my new job in a different city; the big move and the new job has set me back a bit with blogging. I just haven’t had the time, energy or motivation to do much with my blog until now! I feel ready to get into it again!!

Last night I pulled out this mask from my drawer randomly, and slapped it on:

It has drawings of a statue reminiscent of the Easter Island statues? Which makes me wonder if anything like that exists in South Korea? Interesting.

I’m not sure what the “Trylagen” here is supposed to be, but it’s probably some kind of life-changing ingredient. 😉

Here is the mask straight out of the packet:

The sheet is well-soaked with a clear essence. It doesn’t come with a plastic backing, but it doesn’t need to. It’s of average thickness when it comes to sheet masks, and unfolds without issues. the fit is fine, with some adjusting of the cuts in the mask. I’ve also come to appreciate the masks that have those folds under the eyes for extra under-eye moisture (I don’t know if that’s what they’re intended for, but I definitely like it for that):

It smells a LOT like the Yes To Carrots shampoo, if anyone’s tried that stuff, which my boyfriends says smells like baby powder. Or is it the camellia in it? Anyway, I absolutely love the scent; if you hate scents you might not like this one, but it’s not overpowering for me and I don’t mind it. Once I took the mask off after a good 20 minutes and let the rest of the essence sink it, it dissipated pretty quickly.

After removing the mask, the essence sunk in pretty quickly without any patting and dried down to a slightly tacky finish. I finished up with a sleeping pack on top and called it a night!

This morning, I woke up to moisturized skin that wasn’t oily or overly glowy. I could’ve used a little more glow, not gonna lie, but it did help moisturize my face. My skin felt smooth and soft, and my irritated spots shrank a bit overnight.

I got this mask in my Beauteque Monthly Mask Maven subscription box. I don’t think I’d go out and buy this mask in a hurry or anything, but it was definitely effective in moisturizing and soothing my skin! I liked it!

I’d give this mask a 4/6!
